小學(xué)英語(yǔ)單詞分類(lèi)：no與not的區(qū)別

 　　no可作為形容詞，也可用作副詞;not只可用作副詞。no用作形容詞時(shí)，可直接置于名詞前。如果名詞前已有a, an, the, his, much, any等詞時(shí)，則應(yīng)該在這些詞前面加not。如：

　　There are no apples in the boxes. 這些盒子里沒(méi)有蘋(píng)果。(作形容詞)

　　—Do you like dancing?你喜歡跳舞嗎?

　　—No, I don’t. 不，我不喜歡。(作副詞)

　　It’s a duck, not a chicken. 它是只鴨子，不是小雞。(作副詞)

　　試譯：杯子里沒(méi)有茶。

　　誤：There is no any tea in the cup.

　　正：There is not any tea in the cup.

　　正：There is no tea in the cup.

　　這兩個(gè)詞在詞義和使用場(chǎng)合上都有所不同。

　　No可以作副詞，也可以作名詞和形容詞;not只能用作副詞。現(xiàn)將它們各種用法分述如下，以便比較：

　　作副詞時(shí)，no有下列兩種用法：

　　(一)作為yes的反義詞，用在回答問(wèn)題的場(chǎng)合，表示“不”的意思。例：

　　No，I won't go to the casino.

　　不，我不去賭場(chǎng)。

　　(二)用在比較級(jí)之前，表示“并不”之意。例：

　　The weather today is no better than it was yesterday.

　　今天的天氣并不比昨天好。

　　用作形容詞時(shí)，no表示not any的意味。例：

　　There is no(=not any)time to lose.

　　時(shí)不可失。

　　注：當(dāng)no用作形容詞時(shí)，可直接放在名詞之前，如果名詞的前面有a、any、much、many、enough等詞，就要改用not，不用no，因?yàn)閚ot是副詞，只有副詞才有資格修飾a、any、much、many、enough等詞。因此，我們說(shuō)：

　　I have no money.或I have not any money.

　　作名詞時(shí)，no表示“否定”的意思。例：

　　Two noes make a yes.

　　否定的否定就是肯定。

　　Not可用于：

　　(一)修飾動(dòng)詞

　　I do not know any of them.

　　這些人我一個(gè)都不認(rèn)識(shí)。

　　(二)修飾形容詞：

　　It's not cold today.

　　今天天氣不冷。

　　(三)修飾不定冠詞：

　　Three decades ago not a year passed without a number of people falling victims to hunger here.

　　三十年前，這里每年都有不少人死于饑荒。

　　(四)修飾副詞：

　　Not seldom did I go to Victoria Park while I stayed in Causeway Bay.

　　我住在銅鑼灣期間常到維多利亞公園去。

　　(五)修飾連詞：

　　They are working hardnot because they want to make money but because they know what they are working for.

　　他們?cè)谂�力工作其原因并非是為了賺錢(qián)，而是在于他們知道為何而工作。

　　請(qǐng)注意下面no和not的區(qū)別：

　　Mr.Chen is no fool.

　　陳先生決不是傻瓜。

　　Mr.Chen is not a fool.

　　He is no good at tennis.

　　他的網(wǎng)球打得很不好。
